Adam Forshaw could be set for his Leeds United debut this week, with Thomas Christiansen confirming that the midfielder has recovered from a slight knock, as reported by BBC Radio Leeds’, Adam Pope.

Leeds moved to sign Forshaw in a £4.5m deal from Middlesbrough earlier this month, but injury ruled the midfielder out of the clash with Millwall, which prevented him from an Elland Road debut.

However, the 26-year-old has shaken off his problem, and is now set to be involved in Leeds’ squad at Hull City tomorrow evening, as the Whites return to Sky Bet Championship action following the FA Cup break.

Christiansen’s squad head to the KCOM Stadium looking to reignite their promotion push, after a winless streak stretching back to before New Year, saw Leeds slip out of the top-six and adrift of the play-off zone.

Leeds enter tomorrow’s contest in ninth, but have a number of absentees, with suspensions building up at Elland Road.

Kalvin Phillips and Eunan O’Kane are two that will be missing for tomorrow’s clash and Saturday’s visit of Cardiff City, which will open the door for Forshaw to feature in the centre of midfield.

The Verdict

Injuries and suspensions mean that Forshaw’s availability is a big boost for Leeds, who are looking short on bodies in midfield.

Forshaw has arrived to be a starter at Elland Road, and you’d expect that the midfielder will be keen to show his new club what he is all about against Hull tomorrow – should he start.

Leeds need some points tomorrow, and Forshaw’s role in that could be key.
