West Ham United remain odds-on favourites to sign Brentford’s Jota this summer, with leading bookmaker SkyBet offering 1/2 for the forward to make the move across London.

Jota’s future at Griffin Park has been speculated over the course of the summer, and with just 12-months remaining on his contract with Brentford, it is unclear where the 26-year-old will be playing his football next season.

Despite reported interest from West Ham and a number of other Premier League clubs, Brentford’s manager, Dean Smith, has confirmed there has been no bid for the Spanish forward, he told Get West London: “There are no bids there.

“There's a lot of talks and there always will be. Unless I get something concrete. There's no point in talking about it.”

Brentford will be desperate to retain Jota’s service this summer, particularly after the impact he had at Griffin Park following his return from a loan spell with SD Eibar in January.

During the second-half of the 2016/17 campaign, Jota made 21 appearances in the Sky Bet Championship, scoring 12 goals and adding five assists in a mesmerising run of form.

The Spanish forward was key to Brentford’s strong finish in the Championship last season, helping the Bees to tenth.

Jota is currently priced at 9/4 to stay with Brentford in the Championship this summer.
