According to a report by The Chronicle, Newcastle United are set to have Henri Saivet back at the club for pre-season after reports in the French media are suggesting that Saint-Etienne are not interested in pursuing a permanent deal.
Henri Saivet is currently at Saint-Etienne on a season long loan from Newcastle United after he was used sparingly by Rafa Benitez in the Premier League.
The Senegalese international has made 28 appearances for Saint-Etienne but he has failed to maintain a regular place in the side and the French Ligue 1 outfit are not keen on keeping him beyond the end of his loan spell.
Emmanuel Riviere is also likely to return to Newcastle for pre-season after the striker has failed to score at all during his loan spell with Spanish side Osasuna.
Rafa Benitez will have to run the rule over this fringe duo and decide whether to keep or sell the Newcastle flops to another team this summer.
