Derby County are back in Sky Bet Championship action this evening, with the Rams looking to strengthen their grip on a place in the top-six when they face Ipswich Town at the Pride Park Stadium.
Gary Rowett’s side suffered a disappointing 4-2 defeat to Reading prior to the international break, but have bounced back emphatically following that, winning seven points from their last three Championship fixtures.
The Rams put in a particularly impressive display against Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon, with Rowett watching on as a Matej Vydra hat-trick led his side to a 3-0 victory, which saw Derby move back into the top-six.
Rowett’s side now have an opportunity to open up a six-point lead over Boro, who sit seventh, this evening if they can pick up three points against Ipswich.
Here at FLW, we have taken a look at Rowett’s team selection, debating whether the Derby boss will once again hand Andreas Weimann a starting berth, following a rare starts against QPR and Boro in the last two Championship fixtures.
Weimann, 26, has helped Rowett’s side to back-to-back victories, registering two assists in last week’s victory over QPR.
70% of voters in our poll are backing Weimann to retain his place in the starting XI, with just 30% believing that Rowett should make a change.
