Birmingham City will look to bounce back from Sunday's derby defeat at Aston Villa when they travel to take on Millwall tomorrow night.

Garry Monk's men fell to a 4-2 defeat at Villa Park, although that doesn't tell the whole story.

Che Adams missed a glorious opportunity to put his side 2-0 up, whilst they were very unfortunate that a soft penalty was awarded to the hosts that allowed them to get their own two-goal advantage.

Ultimately though, Villa have the bragging rights and Blues will look to put that behind them with a victory at The Den.

They head into the game without a win in three and are locked in mid-table, seven points behind the play-offs and seven above the relegation zone.

Given Monk has a small squad to work with, we aren't expecting major changes to the side that lost to Villa, although a few tweaks could happen.

Here we look at the XI we expect to start...

The keeper has been a regular since arriving and will continue in goal.

The usually-reliable full-back had an off day at Villa Park as he switched off at times but he is still a very good player at this level.

Morrison hasn't been at his best in recent weeks but Monk will keep faith in the defender.

Likewise, Dean has struggled at times but he formed a fantastic partnership with Morrison earlier in the season.

Pedersen played in a more advanced role at Villa Park but should shift back to left-back against the Lions.

With Jota sure to miss out, Mahoney will get another chance down the flank.

The Dutch midfielder is the defensive shield and his competitive edge will be needed in what should be a real battle.

The winger came on in the derby after a lay-off so should be ready to start.

The front two pick themselves and Adams will look to maintain his good recent form and to put that miss on Sunday behind him with a goal.

The target man has been unplayable at times this season and is Blues' major threat going forward.
