On-loan Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Aaron Mooy is putting in some very strong performances, having moved from Huddersfield Town in the summer.

Huddersfield were relegated from the Premier League last campaign and as is the case with most relegated clubs, they faced losing their prized assets who looked to stay in the top flight with another club.

The only major departure to the Premier League from their side in the summer was star midfielder Aaron Mooy who joined Brighton on a season-long loan after signing a new three-year contract at the John Smith’s Stadium. Having signed for the Premier League outfit, Mooy has made 10 league appearances and is impressing of late.

Mooy starred in Brighton’s surprise victory at the Emirates against Arsenal, crossing to Neal Maupay for the Seagulls’ winner, to then put in a strong performance against Wolves on Sunday.

It is becoming increasingly likely that Brighton will look to make this move a permanent one after his great run, along with Huddersfield’s current standing at the bottom end of the Championship. Huddersfield acted wisely in the summer to tie Mooy down to a new contract, which adds value to his transfer when Graham Potter’s side look to move in on his permanent move.

His future remains a question, though, with nothing set in stone as of yet and this has sparked debate amongst Terriers fans on social media about how much he is worth, should the sale happen.

Here, we take a look at how fans have reacted to the topic from a Facebook fans group…

Brad Foley “Aaron Mooy doing bits for Brighton, should get at least £15-20million for him.”

Bradley Barber “Hopefully but it doesn’t matter because that money won’t go on any players, and if it miraculously does, they will be from non-league.”

Harry Moorhouse “If we do, you see a penny of it on the pitch.”

AJ Hemingway “Got to be £25million minimum”

Mattchu Hann “In 6 months’ time, revisit this post and edit it to £1.5-2.0million, as nobody in their right mind will buy him for that original price and offer us the above, and we take it.”

Ian Bowerman “At least £15million in my opinion.”

Alexander Pratt “If Brighton stay up, I think we can ask for £10-15million.”
