It will take £18million for Blackburn Rovers to agree to part company with talismanic midfielder Bradley Dack during the summer transfer window, it has been reported.

Rovers paid Gillingham just £750,000 for the midfielder's services two summers ago, with Dack going onto be a huge hit at Ewood Park.

The now 25-year-old has scored 36 goals in 90 appearances in all competitions in his two season with club, picking up both the club's and the League One Player of the Season reward as Rovers secured an immediate return to The Championship during Dack's first season with the club.

That impressive record has once again led to speculation linking Dack with a move to the Premier League ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, both West Ham and Crystal Palace are considering a move for Dack, although the paper claims that the sizeable price-tag could put the two clubs off.

Rovers are in a strong position to negotiate over any fee for Dack, as the midfielder still has two years left on his contract at Ewood Park.

The Verdict

I don't see many Premier League sides paying this fee for Dack.

As impressive as his record is, his influence appears to have fallen away somewhat in the second half of this season - which it should be remembered is still his first at this level - even if his work rate remains unquestionable.

Seeing Rovers so strong in their position over their key man should be a welcome sight for the club's fans, showing that they are ready and willing to compete for a place at the higher end of the Championship so soon after their return to the second tier.
