Stoke City will round off their Championship campaign with a home game against promoted Sheffield United this weekend.

The Potters have had a miserable time of it in the second tier following last season's relegation, with a number of players not performing to the level expected of them throughout the campaign.

One of those players is striker Saido Berahino, who has done nothing since arriving at the club in a big money move two years ago, with it now being claimed by the Express and Star that the 25-year-old could be set to rip up his contract in favour of a move to Fenerbahce.

According to the report, which has comments from his agent, Berahino is attracting interest from the Turkish giants and this could tempt Berahino into trying to come to an agreement with Stoke to ensure he is allowed to move away from the club.

It is unlikely manager Nathan Jones will stand in Berahino's way, with the striker likely on big money in terms of wages and Jones looking to completely reshape the club over the summer as it is.

Berahino was expected to go on and become one of the finest striking talents in English football after impressing in his early days at West Brom, but he has struggled with off-field issues as well as form and fitness in recent times.

The Verdict

Stoke should let him walk and get it sorted asap to be honest.

Berahino is offering nothing for the Potters and he'd be the first name on my list if I was Nathan Jones and looking to clean up the club.

There's no doubt he has some talent about him, but he needs a fresh start, and moving away from England might be perfect for him.
