According to the Birmingham Mail, Nouha Dicko is set for a medical at Hull City today, as he looks to complete his switch from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Sky Bet Championship rivals have agreed a fee in the region of £3.5m for the striker, which will end Dicko’s three-and-a-half year association with Wolves.

Dicko has been the subject of interest from Hull over the last week, as Leonid Slutsky looks to bolster his attacking options following Abel Hernandez’s long-term injury picked up earlier this month.

Having had a £3m bid rejected, Hull seem to have got their man after Wolves accepted an improved offer for the striker, which is believed to be around £3.5m.

The 25-year-old has scored 34 goals in just over 100 appearances for Wolves, and this season has featured in all seven fixtures, scoring two goals, including one in Wolves’ 3-2 victory over Hull City earlier in August.

Whilst Hull edge closer to completing a deal to sign Dicko, Wolves are stepping up their search to sign another striker to compete with Leo Bonatini.

According to the Express and Star, the Molineux outfit are willing to let Dicko leave, as they are well on with their search for a replacement striker.

The Verdict

This will be a good signing for Hull – who are in desperate need of striking reinforcements following Hernandez’s unfortunate injury.

Dicko has impressed for Wolves when given an opportunity at Molineux so far this season, and it is unlucky that he doesn’t fit into Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans for the new season.

The striker has been unfortunate himself with injuries during his time at Molineux, but if he can keep himself fit, he has the potential to be up with the best in the Championship, as he has proved earlier in his career.
