Reports in the German media have confirmed that Pierre-Michel Lasogga is disappointed with Leeds United’s current form in the Sky Bet Championship.

Lasogga arrived at Elland Road on-loan on transfer deadline day, when Leeds were still unbeaten in the Championship. The striker’s first two appearances for the Whites saw him score two goals and add two assists, as Thomas Christiansen’s side moved to the top of the table with victories over Burton Albion and Birmingham City.

Since then, Leeds have lost four of five Championship fixtures, a run of results that has seen Christiansen’s side slide from the top of the table to sixth in just a matter of weeks.

Lasogga, 25, has expressed his disappointment at Leeds’ current form in the German media. The Whites’ most recent defeat came against Reading at Elland Road on Saturday, with Christiansen opting to replace Lasogga in the 77th minute despite going in search of a goal.

Leeds took a break from Championship action during the week, but will return this Saturday when they travel to Ashton Gate to face an in-form Bristol City. The Robins currently sit fourth in the table, and are one of the five teams currently above Christiansen’s side.

The Verdict

Lasogga will not be the only person at Elland Road disappointed with Leeds’ current form, which needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.

Leeds are still in a strong position in the Championship table, but need to return to winning ways quickly.

Lasogga will be key to turning things around, and if Leeds are to pick up a positive result on Saturday in Bristol, the German will be key.
