Millwall earned their second three points of the season this past weekend when they mounted a comeback to grab a well-deserved victory against managerless Aston Villa.

Goals from Shane Ferguson and Tom Elliott completed the comeback against the visitors to The Den who took the lead through Tammy Abraham.

The Lions grabbed four points from their last two matches thanks to impressive comebacks after being behind.

A two-goal revival from 2-0 down away at Nottingham Forest on Wednesday saw them snatch a late point before seeing off a Villa side who were unable to deal with the style of play Neil Harris makes his side play.

The win lifted them out of the bottom three and up to 20th ahead of the international break before a vital fixture away at Reading - who are one place and one point behind the London club.

It will be mid-October when the league resumes, and thoughts to the January transfer window will soon be creeping back into the minds of football fans up and down the country.

Millwall will undoubtedly be preparing a list of targets ahead of the winter transfer window to be as well prepared as possible heading into the New Year.

With that said, here is the perfect double deal for the Lions with one new player arriving and another departing.

The out-of-favour goalkeeper has been dropped in recent weeks since the last international break and has not been called up for Scotland this time around due to his non-involvement with his club.

Neil Harris cited a mentality issue as to why the former Spurs keeper had been missing from the side.

Since then, the Lions boss has explained Archer has trained well and he has since been restored to the bench.

But with January looming, and the keepers’ contract up in the summer, a move could be on the cards to recoup some money before losing him on a free come July.

After a successful loan spell at The Den last season, Norwich came in and poached the permanent signing for the former Wolverhampton Wanderers man.

Since his move to Carrow Road, the winger has played at right-back three times and has only made four appearances in 15 in all competitions available.

Marshall has not featured for the Canaries since the League Cup win after Cardiff on August 28.

Seemingly out-of-favour, a move back to the den could end his Norwich nightmare.

The Lions have some money in the bank after the sale of George Saville, and it would be the perfect addition for the London club who know precisely what he is capable of when he is on top form.
