Birmingham City will be looking to claim their biggest win of the season this weekend with the small matter of a Second City derby on the horizon.

Garry Monk's men have lost just one of their last 13 league games and have won four of their last six going into the fiery encounter at Villa Park, and it's bound to be a cracker in the West Midlands with Blues sitting one place below the Villans.

The turnaround under Monk has been magnificent - despite failing to find a win in their first eight games, Blues have been transformed from relegation fighters to potential promotion contenders.

The January transfer window is going to be a hugely important period for Monk - he'll need to clear out the deadwood and bring in new faces that will help guide Birmingham to the play-offs.

Here, we take a look at the transfer business that we can see happening at Birmingham City in January...

Tom Heaton could be of much use to Birmingham - the goalkeeper has fallen out of favour behind Nick Pope and Joe Hart at Burnley and has been linked with a move away to the likes of Leeds United.

Whilst Lee Camp may have proved a lot of doubters wrong this season, he is now 34 and perhaps Heaton could be a more solid replacement.

Brock-Madsen hasn't played a minute of football since his loan spell was cut short at Scottish side St Mirren earlier on this season and he's surely bound to leave in January.

The 25-year-old has made just three starts for Birmingham since his move from Randers in 2015.
