Stoke City face a potentially pivotal game in their season this weekend as they travel to West London to take on fellow Championship strugglers QPR in what is being dubbed as something of a relegation six pointer.

The Potters are now just four points above the drop zone heading into tomorrow's game at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium and Michael O'Neill will be fully aware that his side have to perform better than they did in the recent defeat to Preston in order to pick up a crucial three points.

The Stoke boss is expected to have to make to do without the services of James McClean, Sam Clucas and Thibaud Verlinden for this weekend's clash after all three players picked up injuries during their midweek home loss, thus meaning that the Northern Irishman will have to rotate his squad for tomorrow's game.

Here, we take a look at the Stoke City XI that we expect to see against QPR tomorrow....

We expect Butland to remain in between the sticks for the Potters for the tip to West London as the experienced keeper looks to record a long overdue clean sheet this weekend.

Tommy Smith should also continue at right back after making the spot his own since the arrival of O'Neill at the Bet365 Stadium.

Batth will once again start as the right centre back at the heart of the Stoke backline, with the former Wolves man looking to build play out from the back when in possession.

Partnering Batth will be James Chester as the Aston Villa loanee continues to build a good understanding with his new centre back partner.

We expect Martins Indi to again be given the nod at left back as the Dutchman looks to bounce back from a poor display against Preston in midweek.

Given the injury problems that have already been mentioned, it is expected that O'Neill will pluck for a diamond in midfield, meaning that Allen will drop into a deeper role as a central defensive midfielder.

The switch in formation should see Powell drop a bit deeper in order to solidify the centre of the pitch, whilst also allowing the former Manchester United man to create chances from deep.

Jordan Cousins should come into the starting eleven in place of Clucas in midfield as he seeks to make an impression on O'Neill after being left on the bench over the past few weeks.

Ince would be expected to operate as a central attacking midfielder  during tomorrow's game, thus allowing O'Neill to maintain the vast ,majority of the side that he has ustilied in recent weeks.

Up top, Campbell should continue to provide one of Stoke's main attacking threats in the final third as the promising youngster looks to improve his goal tally.

The injury to McClean should see Vokes partner Campbell up top as he looks to convince his manager that he should be given the nod to lead the line more often that he has been afforded of late.
