Millwall resume Championship action this weekend when they face Bolton Wanderers.

The Den is the venue for the clash between the two sides who are separated in the league by two places and just five goals - as both teams are level on points.

With the international fixtures out of the way for the rest of the calendar year, Neil Harris will be hoping his side can recover them their late defeat away at Norwich Last time out and get back to winning ways over Phil Parkinson’s strugglers.

Three defeats in their last six matches has seen the Lions drop to fourth bottom in the League and outside the relegation palaces on goal difference.

Harris has a small squad, so the teams fielded each week are pretty similar, and he will be hoping after the break his players are up for the weekend’s proverbial six-pointer.

Two weeks off to accommodate the UEFA Nations League matches will have allowed Harris’ men to mull over their defeat to the Canaries last time out and look to put that right on Saturday afternoon.

With that said, here is the starting XI we expect from Millwall when they host Bolton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.

Having not played first-team football since August 26, due to Ben Amos’ ineligibility being on loan from Bolton, we expect the Scotland international to start for Millwall tomorrow.

Having been dropped for the defeat to Norwich, we expect the young full-back to replace Conor McLaughlin in the Millwall defence the weekend against Wanderers.

He’s been a rock at the back for Millwall since his return, and despite some adverse results, he is fully expected to once again lead the Lions out this weekend.

Incredibly, Jake Cooper has the most assists in the top two divisions and is playing well alongside his trusted teammate at the heart of the Millwall defence.

There is every expectation that he starts tomorrow afternoon.

Murray Wallace has been able to keep James Meredith on the bench for the last few fixtures due to the former’s form, and we fully expect the Scotsman to keep his place for the visit of Bolton Wanderers this weekend.

Fresh off signing a new long-term deal with the club, Jed Wallace will be in buoyant mood having secured his long-term future at Millwall.

There is every expectation that the Lions’ number seven will once again look to torment the opponent's defence from the off this weekend.

An effortless transition to the club since his arrival, Ryan Leonard is getting better each week for Millwall.

Coming off a two-week break having scored his second goal for the Lions against Norwich, he is expected to start once again.

An unused substitute in Martin O’Neill’s final game in charge of the Republic of Ireland in midweek, Shaun Williams will be looking to get back in the thick of it this weekend when he is expected to start for Millwall.

One of the Lions’ more effective players in the last month or two, he has come back into the side and has impressed.

There is every expectation that he will see off competition from Jiri Skalak and Aiden O’Brien for a place in the first team.

Tom Elliott is once again expected to retain his position over captain Steve Morison.

And having scored the opener in the 4-3 defeat to Norwich last time out, there is every reason for him to continue his role up top this weekend.

Lee Gregory put in one of the finest performances in recent memory from a striker without scoring in the Norwich defeat.

His exemplary efforts leading the line epitomise what a Millwall team is all about, and it is expected he once again shows that type of application tomorrow afternoon.
