Bolton Wanderers start their second successive season back in the Sky Bet Championship tomorrow with a daunting fixture against West Bromwich Albion.

Last season, Phil Parkinson did incredibly well to guide Bolton to safety in the Championship, with the Trotters avoiding relegation by a narrow margin on the final day of the Championship season.

The 2018/19 campaign doesn’t look like it will be any easier for Bolton in the Championship, with the division looking even stronger than it did 12 months ago.

For Parkinson, he will be wanting to make a fast start to the season, but in West Brom, Bolton face some tough opposition.

Darren Moore’s side are fresh out of the Premier League and will be looking to put themselves in promotion contention as early as possible this season.

Here at FLW, we take a look at Bolton, selecting the starting XI we believe Parkinson should be fielding…

The 31-year-old’s experience was key last season and Bolton will be turning to him for some big performances this year.

Olkowski looks like he will be featuring at right-back this weekend.

He will have to be at the top of his game.

Wheater is key for Bolton.

Parkinson needs the centre-back at his best all season.

Alongside Wheater, Parkinson will need someone reliable.

You’d imagine that Beevers will be the man he puts his faith in.

Taylor has plenty of experience and completes Bolton’s back-four.

Murphy has been a late addition to Parkinson’s squad, but he could well be in the starting XI this weekend.

The midfielder has a wealth of experience in the Championship from spells with Leeds and Burton.

Lowe has travelled around a little bit, but is now on Bolton’s books.

Parkinson should be looking to hand him a key role this season.

Parkinson will be hoping that Wildschut can have an impact on the right against West Brom.

Erhun Oztumer will be knocking on the door of the starting XI before long, but against a strong West Brom side, Parkinson could be tempted to sit 24-year-old Vela ahead of Murphy and Lowe.

Ameobi will be another that is key this season.

If Bolton can get the winger enough ball against West Brom, he could cause some problems.

Le Fondre should be leading the line for the Trotters.

If Bolton can create him chances, he could give Bolton a chance this weekend.
