It was yet another disappointing result for Nottingham Forest on Tuesday evening when they were dispatched with ease by Sheffield Wednesday in a 3-0 defeat.

Martin O'Neill rung the changes in the Reds line-up with the likes of Sam Byram, Arvin Appiah and Luke Steele all called upon to start, but it did not work out well at all.

After an uneventful first half, it was Wednesday who flew out of the traps at the start of the second when George Boyd set-up Marco Matias to give the home side the lead in the 47th minute.

It was 2-0 just 11 minutes later when Lucas Joao's pass found its way to Boyd on the left-hand side of the box who then lashed a brilliant shot across Steele and into the net before Matias notched his second in the 68th minute to kill off the game.

Of course, it was a poor performance from the squad, but at right-back, the returning Sam Byram put in an impressive display by all accounts, giving O'Neill yet another selection headache to contend with.

But how will unused substitute and fellow right-back Saidy Janko feel following his teammates display?

At the start of the season, following his arrival from Porto on loan, the 23-year-old looked very impressive, starting five straight matches.

But that form inspired a resurgence from Tendayi Darikwa, who reclaimed his starting spot not long after, consigning Janko to the bench.

With Byram picked ahead of him last night, it is hard to see how the Swiss defender can possibly perceive a future at the City Ground.
