Coventry City will be looking to build upon their impressive start to the 2021/22 campaign by picking up a positive result in their clash with Cardiff City tomorrow.

The Sky Blues have managed to win four of their opening six league fixtures and currently find themselves in sixth place in the Championship standings.

Particularly impressive at home, Coventry have yet to drop a point at the Coventry Building Society Arena and thus should be brimming with confidence heading into Wednesday's fixture.

Having witnessed his side secure a 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough last weekend, it will be intriguing to see whether Sky Blues manager Mark Robins decides to make any alterations to his team for the club's meeting with the Bluebirds.

Here, we take a look at how Coventry could line up in-front of their own supporters tomorrow evening.

Having utilised the 3-4-1-2 formation on several occasions this season, Robins is likely to stick with this particular set-up on Wednesday.

Goalkeeper Simon Moore will be aiming to keep his third league clean-sheet of the season against Cardiff.

Jake Clarke-Salter, Kyle McFadzean and Dominic Hyam will be tasked with preventing the Bluebirds from scoring whilst Ian Maatsen and Fankaty Dabo will operate in the wing-back positions.

Gustavo Hamer will be partnered in the heart of midfield by Jamie Allen whilst Callum O'Hare will be expected to provide some creativity in a more advanced role.

Martyn Waghorn is set to feature up-front alongside Viktor Gyokeres who has experienced a superb start to his spell at Coventry.

Currently averaging a club-high WhoScored match rating of 7.50, the 23-year-old has already managed to find the back of the net on three occasions in the second-tier whilst he has also chipped in with two assists for his team-mates.

Providing that he is able to deliver another impressive display tomorrow, Gyokeres may be able to help his side secure all three points in their showdown with Cardiff.
