Barnsley are going to be fighting for their lives this weekend, their fate already out of their hands and in those of Sunderland.

The Black Cats registered a fine 3-0 win against Accrington this weekend, leaving Sunderland in the driving seat. They trail the Tykes by three points, but have two games in hand.

Daniel Stendel's side have missed the chance to press home their advantage, drawing three of their last four matches when one extra win would have given them breathing space.

They travel to Burton this weekend, a tough game against a side who have settled in the upper mid table area. Nigel Clough's team are unlikely to break into the top six, but will be playing for pride in a clash of two former Championship sides.

Without Kieffer Moore, Barnsley have struggled, but their options are limited.

Here's the XI we expect Stendel to go with.

The goalkeeper will almost certainly keep his place.

He's been strong all season and only injury would rule him out now.

[snack_break title="Ben Williams"]

Williams was out from January until mid March, but he's seized his chance and will likely remain at left back.

The youngster has been impressive this season and has a bright future.

[snack_break title="Dimitri Cavare"]

Cavare has played most of their matches this season and has Championship quality.

He shouldn't be too troubled this weekend against a shot-shy Burton.

[snack_break title="Liam Lindsay"]

Lindsay is a highly-rated centre half who will possibly move on in the summer.

He's been a rock at the back and can chip in up front too.

[snack_break title="Ethan Pinnock"]

The former Forest Green man is a sure-fire bet to start alongside Lindsay.

He's been excellent all season and is another who'll be playing Championship football next season, although maybe not for the Tykes.

[snack_break title="Alex Mowatt"]

Mowatt has been excellent all season and plays in the central midfield position when fit.

The former Leeds man clearly benefitted from last year's loan spell.

[snack_break title="Cameron McGeehan"]

A key player for Barnsley, they missed him on his recent suspension.

He's mobile, creative and can change their 4-2-3-1 to a fluid 4-4-2 just by stepping further forward.

[snack_break title="Ryan Hedges"]

The 23-year-old will form part of a three-man attack behind the striker.

He's been quiet for most of the season, but looks to have a crucial role to play as we enter the dying stages.

[snack_break title="Jacob Brown"]

Brown has been given his break in the wake of Kieffer Moore's absence and he's done well.

He bagged in the win at Walsall and looks set for an extended run in the side.

[snack_break title="Cauley Woodrow"]

Woodrow is the only centre forward the Tykes play and is hoping to provide the goals they've lost thanks to Kieffer Moore's absence.

He'll be the figure head of the 4-2-3-1 formation, with back up arriving in the shape of a support striker.

[snack_break title="Mamadou Thiam"]

He'll be trying to probe from behind Woodrow, getting alongside him when the need is there.

He's bagged seven times in 46 appearances this season.
