According to the Daily Star, Hull City’s Andrew Robertson is in favour of a move to Liverpool this summer, despite interest from Sean Dyche’s Burnley.

Robertson is expected to leave the KCOM Stadium this summer following Hull’s relegation back into the Sky Bet Championship last season.

Despite the 23-year old only having one-year remaining on his contract with the Tigers, it is likely that his signature will cost around £15m this summer.

Liverpool and Burnley remain frontrunners to sign Robertson, but the 23-year old's preferred destination would be Anfield, where he would gain an opportunity to play European football under Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp is looking to sign a left-back to replace the inconsistent Alberto Moreno at Anfield, having opted to play James Milner on the left side of defence for large parts of last season.

The Reds had been linked with Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon earlier this summer, but have opted against signing the 17-year old and are set to pursue Robertson.

Last season in the Premier League, Robertson impressed for Hull despite their relegation, featuring in 33 of the Tigers’ 38 league fixtures.

Robertson also scored one goal last season, which came in Hull’s 2-1 victory against West Ham United in April.
