Barnsley took another big step towards winning promotion straight back to the Championship on Saturday.

Daniel Stendel's troops came from behind to see off a plucky Blackpool side 2-1 at Oakwell to move four points clear of second-placed Portsmouth with just one game left to play.

Harry Pritchard gave the visitors the lead in the 14th with a confident finish to the bottom corner following an Armand Gnanduillet pass.

And that is the way it stayed until six minutes before the break when the ever-reliable Cauley Woodrow levelled things with his 16th goal of the season with an unstoppable drive from outside the box.

Unsurprisingly it was Barnsley that came out at the start of the second half on the front foot and just before the hour mark they got their reward when Liam Lindsay rose highest to head home Cameron McGeehan's corner.

It marked yet another impressive performance from the centre-back but with the transfer window looming Championship sides, including Aston Villa, continuing to register their interest.

So, how will he be feeling with his summer options open?

This is a tricky one for Lindsay. At Barnsley, he will have a guaranteed starting spot to test himself again in the second-tier but is unlikely to be fighting for anything other than survival.

If he were to make the jump to Villa, however, he would almost certainly be fighting in the upper echelons of the second-tier although there is no guarantee of game time.

It is a serious conundrum for the 23-year-old to consider when the summer window opens.
