Change is expected at Villa Park this summer - though not for all the right reasons by the looks of things.
Since losing the play-off final, the club has quickly seen itself be plunged into choppy financial waters and, despite Dr. Tony Xia's best efforts to try and steer them clear, it remains to be seen if he is successful.
The school of thought around the club is that key men may have to leave, then, and we think that their reported pursuit of John McGinn might also prove to be the green light for such an exit to take place involving Jack Grealish:
In our latest Domino Effect Deal, it might seem as though McGinn, who would surely cost a fraction of the figure Grealish's sale would raise, would be the replacement for the Englishman.
Such a deal, too, would further cement the idea that Villa are in fairly significant trouble. McGinn is by no means a bad player, he's got great energy and is highly rated in Scotland, but on a par with Grealish he is not.
Such a sequence of events, though, might just become the norm at B6 given their current financial woe and we might just see other low-fee arrivals replace the leading lights at Villa Park.
