Reading will be looking for their first league victory since New Years' Day when they welcome Championship leaders West Brom to the Madjeski Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Royals had been enjoying an excellent run of form over the festive period as they claimed four straight league victories, but they have failed to carry this form into the new year as they now sit down in 16th in the Championship table.

Mark Bowen's men enter the West Brom clash following an underwhelming display against a struggling Hull side, with Jordan Obita's opening goal having been cancelled out by Mallik Wilks' equaliser eight minutes from time.

The Reading boss must now look to galvanise his side ahead of an extremely difficult test against the Baggies, and it seems likely that there could be a handful of changes made to the Royals side ahead of the meeting.

Here, we take a look at the starting line-up Bowen could name...

Rafael Cabral has firmly established himself as the first choice between the sticks despite Sam Walker's FA Cup exploits last week, and the Brazilian will get the nod against West Brom for his 30th straight start of the league campaign.

Bowen has opted for a back-three defensive set-up in Reading's last two matches, and he could stick with this strategy for the West Brom clash by once again naming Tyler Blackett, Michael Morrison and Liam Moore as part of the unit.

Jordan Obita can be expected to keep his spot in the side after performing well on the left flank in recent weeks, while there could be a full debut for Felipe Araruna after he replaced the injured Chris Gunter during the Hull trip over the weekend.

There should be a familiar look to Reading's midfield set-up with Pele starting in a holding position behind John Swift and Ovie Ejaria in more offensive roles, while Andy Rinomhota and Charlie Adam will also be pushing for starting spots.

This formation would then see Bowen name two players in attack for the Royals, and this could see George Puscas return to the side to accompany Sam Baldock with Yakou Meite perhaps in need of a rest during this midweek clash.

Puscas will have a point to prove after being left out of the starting line-up for Reading's last two league matches, and it could be the perfect time for the Romanian to get his goalscoring rate back on track having not scored since his hat-trick against Wigan in November.
