Leeds United winger Jack Harrison says that the club proved a point with their 2-1 win against Swansea City at Elland Road, report the Yorkshire Evening Post

The Manchester City loanee scored the Whites' second but admitted that there is still work to be done in terms of killing off these sorts of matches.

"After a tough match against Middlesbrough we had a point to prove and I think we did that," Harrison said.

"I think we started off really well, keeping possession, but I think we can still improve on closing out the game a little bit better.

"It was a little bit frazzled towards the end."

The match was just 20 minutes old when Pontus Jansson opened the scoring, finishing brilliantly into the bottom corner after a scramble in the Swansea box.

And it was 2-0 just 14 minutes later as Harrison headed home Ezgjan Alioski's cross at the near post to ease the Elland Road nerves.

Swansea narrowed the scoreline late on when Oli McBurnie converted from the spot following a clumsy Luke Ayling foul but the Whites held on for a crucial three points.

The verdict

You have to admire Harrison's mental strength this season.

He has faced a fair bit of criticism for his performances on the wing, some fairly and some not, but Bielsa has stuck by him and that seems to have done him a world of good.

A brilliant header and a solid performance is just what was needed.
