Tyler Denton has moved to deliver a message on his personal Twitter account, after the youngster returned to Leeds United following a loan spell with Port Vale in Sky Bet League Two.

Shortly after agreeing fresh terms with Leeds during the summer Denton moved out on-loan, linking up with Port Vale on a season-long loan deal during the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old made 22 appearances for Port Vale across all competitions during the first-half of his loan move, but last week it was confirmed Denton would be returning to Elland Road early, due to family reasons.

Denton has now taken to Twitter to thank Port Vale for his time there, whilst also praising Leeds for the help they have given him recently, the defender’s message read:

Leeds confirmed that Denton would link back up with Thomas Christiansen’s first-team squad following his return, where the defender will be pushing for more opportunities at Elland Road.

So far during his senior career with Leeds, Denton has featured on three occasions, but is still awaiting his first opportunity in the Championship, having made one League Cup appearance and two FA Cup appearances.

Denton links back up with a Leeds side currently sixth in the Championship table.

The Verdict

Denton’s message is a classy touch, and ends his time with Port Vale on a positive note. Whilst it is also good to see the youngster acknowledging what Leeds have done for him recently.

The 22-year-old is now tasked with brushing himself down and challenging for a starting berth at Elland Road, which many think he could be capable of, given his previous impact in the first-team.
