Charlton Athletic striker, Lyle Taylor, has been nominated for the PFA Championship Player of the Month award.

The award, titled fully, the PFA Bristol Street Motors Championship Player of the Month, will be one of the first given out this season after the Championship made an exciting return in August.

One of the players who shone was Addicks forward, Taylor. He netted five goals in six appearances and has helped Lee Bowyer's side sit second in the league after an unbeaten start.

Charlton were only promoted to the division last season after a dramatic victory in last season's League One play-off final. They've already recorded impressive victories against the likes of Brentford, Reading and Stoke City.

Alongside Taylor, five other Championship players have been nominated. He's up against Patrick Bamford, Ben White (Leeds United), Borja Baston (Swansea), Jarrod Bowen (Hull) and Daniel Johnson (Preston).
