Stoke City youngster Julien Ngoy could be on the move this summer, with former German international Thorsten Fink singling the 21-year-old out as someone with massive potential.

Fink had the Potters forward under his management last season over in Switzerland with Grasshoppers, but with Fink now moving on to the Japanese league, he had admitted he would love to take Ngoy with him if possible.

That is, according to the Mirror's live transfer blog, who claim that Fink has spoken out about Ngoy, suggesting the striker needs to be playing regular football to become a full Belgian international.

Ngoy's future with Stoke is up in the air as the Potters look to complete a summer overhaul following a miserable season in the Championship which saw them finish in mid-table and never come close to even mounting a challenge for the top six.

Manager Nathan Jones has some big decisions to make about his squad, and it remains to be seen whether he sees Ngoy as part of his squad going into the 19/20 campaign.

Ngoy did ok with Grasshoppers last term, knocking in five goals in 16 appearances to impress his German manager Fink.

The Verdict

This has the potential to be a tricky one for Nathan Jones you know, as Ngoy might well be the answer to some of his squad's problems, while saving him some cash.

The youngster obviously has something about him for Fink to speak so highly of him, although it might just be a ploy to try and get him to sign.

Stoke might be best keeping him, and seeing if he can keep improving and be the goalscorer they need next term.
