Manchester City took a significant step towards winning the Premier League title, as they ran out narrow, 1-0 winners over Leicester City on Monday evening.

Vincent Kompany's long-range strike proved to be the difference between the two sides, in a closely-fought encounter on the night.

But the result only tells half of the story, with Kelechi Iheanacho missing a clear-cut chance to level the scores at the time late on.

The Nigerian was previously at Manchester City earlier in his career, and one of his former team-mates, Tosin Adarabioyo took to Instagram to poke fun at Iheanacho over his recent miss.

Adarabioyo is now playing for West Brom, where he is on loan at until the end of this year's campaign.

He's certainly played his part in their push for an immediate return to the Premier League as well, with the Baggies preparing to face off with Aston Villa in the play-off semi-final this weekend.

The versatile defender will be hoping that he can make a good impression as their season heads towards a conclusion, with Adarabioyo due to return to Manchester City in the summer.

It remains to be seen as to whether Iheanacho's miss will be the deciding factor in the Premier League title race, but all eyes will be both Manchester City and Liverpool in the final day of the season this weekend.

The Verdict:

This certainly won't go down well with Liverpool fans.

It was a guilt-edge chance that Iheanacho missed and it looks like it's going to cost Liverpool the Premier League title, which will be tough to take.

Adarabioyo's comments will only add fuel to the fire for the Anfield faithful ahead of their final game of the season.
