Watford midfielder Ken Sema is on the verge of signing a new deal at the club, according to Swedish publication Fotbollskanalen.
The 27-year-old has been at the club since 2018 after signing from Östersunds FK in his native Sweden.
Sema has played a key part in Watford’s success so far this season taking part in 33 of the clubs 38 leagues games to date. The Swedish international has also helped chip in with five goals including finding the net in his last two matches for the Hornets.
The powerful winger was loaned out to Italian side Udinese last season but since returning from the Serie A the Swede has been in superb form at Vicarage Road.
Sema is currently on international duty with his nation Sweden and spoke to Fotbollskanalen about his upcoming new contract at Watford.
“It is true that I have extended,” he said. “It will probably be official at any time. It feels good.
“It has worked well. Since I got there, I have come with good self-confidence. I have played well and scored a lot of goals.”

To add to Sema’s great month he has also been nominated in the clubs Player of the Month shortlist for March. The Swede will be looking to build on his strong stint for Watford when they take on struggling Sheffield Wednesday on Good Friday.
Watford fans will be over the moon that one of their key players has decided to extend his contract with the club.
The Hornets are currently in a strong position to regain their Premier League status and tying Sema down to a new deal should give the club an extra drive forward, to ensure they are playing in the top-flight next campaign.
Sema himself will now be able to focus solely on putting in continued strong performances for Watford boss Xisco Munoz during a crucial time of the season.
