Newcastle United can finally get the weight of expectation off their shoulders as they secured their promotion back to the Premier League in emphatic style on Monday.

After splashing the cash in the summer and keeping influential figures such as Jonjo Shelvey and manager Rafa Benitez, Newcastle United were champions elect for many pundits and viewers before the start of the season.

Now that they have booked their place in the top flight for next season, Newcastle United can start looking ahead to their summer transfer business.

Rafa Benitez is likely to be very active in the summer transfer window and he will undoubtedly already be devising a list of transfer targets.

One position that Benitez wants to target is another left sided winger with Christian Atsu's loan expiring and Yoan Gouffran likely to leave on a free.

Rather than exercising the £6.5m option in Atsu's loan deal, here are 3 other left wingers for Newcastle to target.

Andros Townsend

Newcastle have been linked with a move to bring Andros Townsend back to St James' Park.

They failed to secure a deal for the England international in January but they will probably revisit this one as Townsend loved life at Newcastle.

The 25-year-old brings pace, directness and a superb left foot to the pitch.

Jota

Another option Newcastle could look at is Brentford's Jota.

The Spaniard is entering his last year of his deal at Griffin Park and he might be tempted by the prospect of Premier League football.

There is no doubting the 25-year-old's immense talent as he has struck a phenomenal 12 goals and 5 assists for the Bees in 19 Championship games this season.

Tom Ince

Derby County star Tom Ince might be getting frustrated with his club's failure to win promotion.

The 25-year-old is entering the prime of his career and he needs to get back into the Premier League somehow.

With thirteen goals and five assists so far this season, the left-footed winger would provide some real quality on the wings for Newcastle.
