It has been a frustrating season for Bristol City fans.

After an exciting summer of business, the Robins looked like they could be dark horse contenders to win promotion to the Premier League.

This was certainly evident in the first couple of months of the season as a fast start from the Robins saw them competing towards the top of the table.

However, a terrible run of form in the middle part of the season saw them plummet down the table and into a relegation battle.

Their descent looked set to continue but 5 wins in their last 8 games have seen the Robins all but secure their place in the Championship for next season.

Six points separate them from the drop with just two games remaining.

With safety all but confirmed, Bristol City will already start planning ahead for next season, where they will be hoping to compete at the top end.

Here are 2 youngsters who will be hoping for plenty of first team action next year.

Zak Vyner

Bristol City youngster Zak Vyner is already impressing after returning from Accrington Stanley on loan.

After 17 confident displays for Accrington, the 19-year-old has played 4 times since returning to Bristol City in January.

Primarily a centre half, Vyner can also play at right back and will be hoping for more first team action next season.

Taylor Moore

London-born and France-raised Taylor Moore was signed from Lens this summer by Bristol City as more of a view for the future.

After seven outings for the Robins, the England youth international was sent out on loan to Bury, where he has established himself in his 18 games and solidified the Bury side.

The 19-year-old looks a real talent whenever he plays at right back, centre back or in central midfield and he will be looking to stake a claim for a Bristol City starting spot next term.
