Life has been tough for Barnsley recently. They looked to be surging towards a Championship return, but of late have suffered a blip.

Losing leading scorer Kieffer Moore did not help, nor did Brad Potts moving to Preston in the transfer window. They've taken a couple of big hits and their success in the division has suffered because of it.

They have just one win in their last five matches, that a 1-0 success away at troubled Walsall. Drawing matches has been their issue, failing to kill off Doncaster and Coventry. The defeat against Burton Albion had been on the cards for a while.

This weekend they'll be desperate to keep up the pressure on Sunderland. They face Joey Barton's Fleetwood and anything less than a victory will be hugely damaging.

If results go against them they could feasibly end the day in fifth, although it would take a huge goal swing for Charlton to go above them.

This is make or break time for Barnsley. They need every one of their starting XI to stand up and be counted. We look at the players we'd play in Tykes colours tomorrow.

It could be a case of 'as you were' this weekend, despite the loss against Burton. With the injuries and players departing Barnsley are down to the bare bones.

Daniel Pinillos returned to the side for the Burton defeat, but he didn't impress. Ben Williams has been deputising and there's a chance he could come back in, with the former Forest man coming off before the end of the Brewers defeat.

Adam Davies is a certain starter in goal, with both Liam Lindsay and Ethan Pinnock likely to be joined by Dimitri Cavare at the back.

Alex Mowatt and Cameron McGeehan have been excellent all season, with the former forcing his way into the League One Team of the Year. They'll both play this weekend, holding the midfield and hoping to feed the four in front of them.

Ryan Hedges recent represented Wales and we expect him to be joined by young Jacob Brown and Mamadou Thiam. Thiam has seven goals in 47 outings this season and will need to add to that if Barnsley are going to stay in contention.

Cauley Woodrow is the sure-fire bet to start up top, he's bagged 16 times in just 31 matches.
