It’s going to be a big month for Leeds United and it could potentially make or break their season.

Leeds are flying in the Championship but they are far from perfect, as back-to-back defeats have shown in recent weeks.

Marcelo Bielsa isn’t a man that will spend excessively in the winter, but there’s no doubt he will have some players on his radar that will strengthen Leeds’ chance of a Premier League return.

On the flip side of that, others will depart, whether that is on loan or permanently.

It’s not a huge squad at Elland Road, so mass changes won’t be made by Bielsa, particularly in terms of outgoings.

With all that in mind and with January now upon us, we take a look at the players we are expecting to be loaned out of Elland Road in the coming weeks…

Admittedly, this could be permanent.

However, Cibicki has previously been out on loan and that could be the case again.

With a long-term contract behind him, Leeds will want a decent price. If that’s not offered, they might settle for a loan.

Pearce is recovering from injury at the moment, but could be another on the move.

Barry Douglas, Gaetano Berardi, Ezgjan Alioski and Stuart Dallas can all cover left-back, whilst Leif Davis is progressing nicely in the academy. That leaves Pearce down the pecking order.

A loan could do the 20-year-old good.

The powerful striker has made senior appearances this season, but he’s behind the likes of Kemar Roofe, Patrick Bamford and Tyler Roberts now.

Edmondson should be pushing for a temporary route out of Elland Road.
