Birmingham City welcome local rivals West Brom to St. Andrew's tomorrow in what will be a very tough game for Pep Clotet and his side.

The Baggies will arrive having lost just once this season and they are 11 points clear in the race for automatic promotion after a remarkable start under Slaven Bilic.

However, Blues will feel they can match anyone on their day in this league, although it's clear they will have to improve considerably from the performance they put in against QPR in the week.

That 2-0 defeat will have angered Clotet and he could make changes as a result and here we look at the XI he should go with.

Connal Trueman has done well since replacing Lee Camp in goal and he deserves to keep the shirt, along with full-backs Maxime Colin and Kristian Pedersen who are automatic picks and very good players at this level.

But, centre-back is a problem for the Blues chief.

With Marc Roberts and Jake Clarke-Salter out, Wes Harding was given a chance in the week and whilst he did his best, it's not his natural position. So, the Spanish boss needs to be brave and put Geraldo Bajrami alongside Harlee Dean in the heart of the defence for his league debut.

In midfield, the partnership of Josh McEachran and Ivan Sunjic has shown signs it could be promising and the duo both have the technical ability to keep the ball, which will be vital against a talented Albion side.

Changes need to come in the final third though, with Blues pretty toothless against the R's.

Starting Jeremie Bela and Jefferson Montero down the flanks will give the hosts a real threat and they should be strong in transition with those two playing, something else that's important against a good team that will look to dominate.

Jude Bellingham is a certain starter and he will be in the more advanced role that he has excelled in recently.

Finally, even though Alvaro Gimenez has done well in recent games, it could be time to revert to the powerful Lukas Jutkiewicz who has been a key man for Blues over the years and will be desperate to show he deserves a starting spot moving forward.
