Ahead of the new season, Bradford City have started their summer business early with a number of new signings and contract extensions.
They recently announced the signing of Jake Young from newly promoted League Two side Forest Green.
The 20-year-old had a strong season this year scoring three times and providing an assist in 22 games for Rovers.
As a forward himself, the youngster has admitted he is looking forward to playing under new boss Mark Hughes as he told The Yorkshire Post: “It is the first question that people ask: what is he like? I can’t hide from it, he’s a big name when you look at the managers in this league.
“He has achieved a lot in his playing and management career. All I can do is just try and learn from him and I am really excited about that.”
Furthermore, it’s not just playing under a brilliant former player that excited Young, but also the project that lies ahead at the club as he said: “Everyone knows what we want and everyone is pulling in the same direction and I have got a great feeling from it and hopefully we can make something good happen.”

Jake Young looks like a good addition to the Bradford City squad for next season and he will be hoping he can have an impact in his side’s efforts to move towards the top of the table.
Young is yet another player who has been keen to praise Mark Hughes and credit him for being a factor in why he’s excited to get to work which shows the impact a manager like that will have on the Bantams’ business this summer.
If their recruitment carries on well this summer, there’s no reason why Bradford shouldn’t be competing at the top end of the table next season.
