West Bromwich Albion are adapting to life back in the Sky Bet Championship, with Darren Moore learning a huge amount about his side during the opening weeks of the season.

It’s clearly not going to be easy for the Baggies to secure an instant Premier League return, with Moore’s side heading into an extremely competitive division.

However, Moore will be confident his side can still come good, with an extremely talented squad on show at the Hawthorns.

Kyle Bartley has been brought in to provide some Championship experience, whilst in Harvey Barnes, Moore has a player who can cause some real damage on the wing.

Perhaps West Brom’s best piece of business came in the form of Dwight Gayle, who fit and at his best, is one of the division’s standout strikers.

West Brom’s manager will be delighted with how his squad looks.

Of course, some areas might still need improving, but keeping hold of the likes of Jay Rodriguez and Matt Phillips can be seen as a real plus, particularly when you consider who has been added to that quality.

Gayle’s playing time at Newcastle United looked like it would be limited, but having secured a move to West Brom, he will be one of Moore’s leading men.

The striker will get a run of games and a chance to get back amongst the goals.

Dawson wanted to get out of West Brom this summer, but as things stand, he hasn’t moved on.

Things might change in the coming weeks, with the loan window still open, but Dawson will be disappointed with how things worked out this summer.

Although Rodriguez’s attitude seems good, there’s no denying that he will wish he was playing Premier League football.

Whilst there may be some disappointment, the striker looks like he will be giving his all for the Baggies, which is a credit to him.
