It was a relatively quiet transfer window for Neil Harris and Millwall, with only three recruits entering the doors at The Den.

None left the club in what was a successful transfer window with three key players committing their long-term futures to the club.

The Lions were even able to rebuff two late offers from Middlesbrough to keep hold of Jed Wallace and George Saville.

Jake Cooper too was targeted by Steven Gerrard at Rangers who had several bids in excess of three multi-million pounds rejected.

Three new additions and no exits mean the Lions have strengthened and are able to fit the trio of arrivals seamlessly into their tight-knit team and look to become a more cohesive unit.

The Lions finished eighth last term in what was a season of overachievement, but with the new additions, Harris and his side can go again after a relatively successful summer transfer window.

With that in mind, here are two winners and two losers of Millwall’s transfer window.

The Lions fans were winners in a summer transfer window that offered a few nervy moments at the start and the end.

Cooper, Saville and Wallace were all subjects of big money bids as clubs looked to take advantage of the Lions' successful season last time out.

The fact these three, and Lee Gregory were able to stay is a win for the supporters who have seen big players sold for peanuts in previous years.

Millwall's all-time leading goalscorer and the current manager was a winner in this transfer window having not seen the heart of his side ripped out and dismantled.

Usually, after a successful season, a side's star players are cherrypicked and offloaded when a more prominent team come calling.

Not this time, with offers for players rejected and the manager sticking to his work that no one was for sale.

Harris can now build further with his side after welcoming three new arrivals.

It has been a pretty successful window in the grand scheme of things for the Lions.

Millwall’s Championship rivals tried and failed with a late double swoop for Jed Wallace and George Saville.

They were both impressive during the two side’s 2-2 draw last weekend on the opening day, and with Adama Traore leaving the Riverside, Tony Pulis needed a replacement.

The double offer was rejected leaving Boro’s attempts to acquire the two influential Lions foiled.

A massive blow for Boro who look weaker than they did last year while Millwall look stronger with the retention of their better players.

Steven Gerrard was relentless in his pursuit of Jake Cooper.

But the Lions showed they are no longer a mercenary when it comes to transfers and rebuffed offers for the defender when in the past the Lions would have taken the money and ran.

Rangers’ loss is Millwall’s gain with the young defender staying put at The Den after a successful season last year impressing many as Neil Harris’ men finished eighth.
