If there's one aspect of the club that West Brom fans are probably most frustrated by in recent years, it's the inability to keep hold of talented young players.

It has been happening since the mid 2010's when the likes of Izzy Brown and Jerome Sinclair swapped the Baggies academy and the trend has continued in recent years.

Talented teens like Louie Barry, Tim Iroegbunam and others have all left West Brom before their professional careers even began but fans are hoping that the next crop of youngsters stick around to become Albion greats.

It was hard to narrow it down to two players but let's look at a couple of Albion players who could be stars of the future.

Taylor Gardner-Hickman

Not many of West Brom's youngsters are seeing first-team action right now with Valerien Ismael going with a more experienced line-up, but Taylor Gardner-Hickman is one player who looks to have a future in the first-team sooner rather than later.

The right-back has been in a few matchday squads in the Championship and made his league debut on November 3 when he came in for the suspended Darnell Furlong against Hull City.

He had a solid game for the Baggies but inevitably Furlong was back in the team a few days later, but the 19-year-old will inevitably get more minutes soon.

Gardner-Hickman has proven to be just as effective further down the flank in the under-23's squad over the last year so he provides Ismael with an interesting option and the club are clearly keen to keep him around as a new contract is set to be offered, per The Athletic.

Reyes Cleary

The latest talented forward to come through the Baggies academy to follow the likes of Louie Barry is seemingly Cleary, who is attracting a massive amount of attention right now.

The 17-year-old has 10 goals in seven under-18 Premier League appearances for the Baggies and he's coped with the step up to under-23's football as well with no problem with three goals in six Premier League 2 outings.

There's a reason why the likes of Bayern Munich are watching the youngster with interest and it's because he clearly has an eye for goal, and West Brom will be panicking knowing that they're yet to tie him up to a professional contract.

BirminghamLive revealed recently that Cleary has been training with the senior squad with a view to being picked in the squad by Ismael and that could potentially help him make his decision regarding a contract - it would be great to see him play Championship football in the very near future.
