West Brom have plenty of business to do this month, even with the signing of Daryl Dike in attack already.

The Baggies are chasing a promotion back to the Premier League and they'll need to ensure that they are well geared to do so in the second half of the campaign. They've had a lack of goals in attack over the last few weeks but even with the addition of Dike there could be more work to be done.

The Baggies though already have plenty of players on their books, so there may need to be some player sales along the way too. Kenneth Zohore has been frozen out at the Hawthorns for example so could be offloaded, while Jordan Hugill may end up back at his parent club.

The side may need to do some squad reshuffling then - and as the window enters its second week, here are some sagas that could unfold...

West Brom wave goodbye to striker

It's clear that West Brom will need to get rid of some players this month and one casualty of that may be Jordan Hugill.

The player is currently on loan at the Hawthorns from Norwich and his deal with the side actually runs until the summer. However, he has failed to have the desired impact with the Baggies and after notching only one goal for the team during his loan spell, he may now be sent back early to make way for other faces.

The striker has impressed previously in the Championship for Preston and when he initially made the move to West Brom, it looked like a decent piece of business. He just hasn't been able to find the back of the net for them and now boss Valerien Ismael has revealed to Birmingham Live that he and the player have spoken about his future at the side.

That remains unclear for now and there is no official confirmation of whether he will be going back or staying - but that could be revealed this week.

Baggies could be considering swoop for Brentford star

Back before the window even began, West Brom were linked with a potential swoop for Marcus Forss. Football League World exclusive sources revealed that the side were keen to do business for him but so were a wealth of other Championship teams.

Sky Sports News (11/1; 4:36pm) have also now revealed that Brentford are still willing to let him depart during the window - and that means business could be done by the Baggies soon.

They'll have to move quick to seal a deal for him with so many other teams also sniffing around him. That could mean that now his availability has been made clear, they launch a bid for his services as soon as this week.

His future could be sorted out regardless soon, as now that he is on the market, a talent like that will surely be snapped up as quickly as they are put in the shop window. Valerien Ismael will just be hoping that it is him that does it.
