Leeds United sit third in the Championship table, just a point off of Sheffield United in second place.

The two swapped positions last weekend when the Blades went to Elland Road and stunned 37,000 home fans by snatching all three points to move ahead of their promotion rivals.

Leeds are still ahead of West Bromwich Albion who sit in fourth place – six points further back.

But they will have hopes of clawing back that deficit ahead of the final eight games of the season.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men have the upper hand on Albion, having seen them off 4-0 at home the other week in one of their best overall performances from start to finish of the season.

Having had different form after their meeting, would any of the Baggies stars make the starting XI at Elland Road?

We took a look at TWO West Brom players who would walk into Leeds' team despite the heavy defeat at the start of the month.

Dwight Gayle

The Newcastle United loanee has all the attributes to succeed in Marcelo Bielsa’s system.

His has pace, however, a knack for finding the back of the net and will not stop running.

The 28-year-old is a counter-attacking threat which would suit Leeds’ high-octane pressing game.

Goals are essential too, and he has 16 of those – and is more suited to being in the Whites’ team than Patrick Bamford is.

Gayle will be more of a threat in front of goal and look to be destructive, similar to Leeds’ top scorer Kemar Roofe.

Kieran Gibbs

Leeds have had an issue with the left-back spot all season – that is even after Barry Douglas was added to the side in the summer.

The Scotland international has failed to recreate the form he showed for Wolves last term when they won the division at a canter.

Douglas falling short of form as seen Ezgjan Alioski deployed in that role in recent weeks.

Gibbs has been sensational for the Baggies and would be a real asset to the Elland Road side with his marauding runs forward and ability to do both the attacking and defensive work supremely in equal measure.

He would solve the left-back problem without a doubt.
