West Bromwich Albion will be hoping for more of the same as they prepare for the second-half of the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The Baggies have been a hugely enjoyable outfit to watch under Slaven Bilic, and sit level on points with Leeds United at the top of the league table having scored more goals than anyone else in the division.

Albion have only lost twice all season, too, which suggests that they are the complete package as they look to make a long-awaited return to the Premier League this term.

With the January transfer window now upon us, Albion fans are expecting a rather quiet month at The Hawthorns, and they will be hopeful of keeping star players such as Matheus Pereira and Grady Diangana in particular.

Can you score 20 out of 20 on this West Brom quiz?

If Bilic does intend to strengthen this month, though, then the Croatian will be keen to clear the deadwood and free up wages, in order to make way for any potential incomings.

Here, then, we take a look at two Albion players that have perhaps outstayed their welcome at The Hawthorns...

Rekeem Harper

Despite being a key player in helping the Baggies reach the play-off semi-finals last term, Harper has found regular game time hard to come by under Slaven Bilic this season.

The 19-year-old has made only three appearances for Albion this term, and hasn't featured in the Championship since the opening day victory over Nottingham Forest.

Whilst the likes of Kyle Edwards, Nathan Ferguson and Dara O'Shea have all stepped up and became important players under Bilic, Harper clearly hasn't done enough in training to impress the manager.

A move away from The Hawthorns this month - whether that be on loan or for good - could be beneficial for all parties concerned.

Chris Willock

It has been a nightmare spell at West Brom for Willock, who certainly faces an uncertain future at The Hawthorns now the transfer window has opened.

The Benfica loanee is yet to make a single first-team appearance since arriving on loan from Portugal in the summer, and has been a regular for the under 23s instead.

Stoke City and Huddersfield Town have been linked with the midfielder's signature, with the 21-year-old expected to be sent out on loan elsewhere this month.

It just hasn't worked out for him, and it can't be doing him any good at all playing in the reserves week in, week out.
