Tonight sees Reading welcome West Bromwich Albion to the Madejski in what is sure to be a tough test for Mark Bowen and his side.

Last weekend saw the Royals held to a 1-1 draw by Hull City at home as their ambitious push for a play-off push stuttered although a result against Slaven Bilic's table toppers would go a long way to helping that.

However, it will be a tough ask to beat the side who have lost just three times in their last 23 games in all competitions,

But here, we take a look at TWO ways they could hurt the Baggies...

Bravery

One approach that Bowen should consider is that of just taking the game to their opponents.

West Brom have not struggled often this season but when they have, it has often been in matches where their opponents have had the courage to attack them.

QUIZ: Are these 15 ex-Reading players still playing – yes or no?

With the likes of Ovie Ejaria and John Swift, Reading have all the necessary tools to unlock the West Brom defence so they should feel brave enough to use them.

Disrupt the midfield

There is no question that this is West Brom's strongest area.

In Romaine Sawyers they have arguably the best passer of a ball in the second division whilst Jake Livermore acts as a necessary steady head.

Matheus Pereira and Filip Korvinovic all have very well known qualities in the final third too, but if the likes of Swift, Ejaria, Pele and even Yakou Meite dropping deep can suffocate that midfield efficiency, then they will give themselves a great chance.
