Tonight sees Brentford take on Leeds United at Griffin Park in a highly-anticipated promotion battle in West London.

As things stand, Leeds are clinging on to their place in the automatic promotion places but having lost four of their last five, sit just two points ahead of the Bees.

A win for Thomas Frank and his side would see them leapfrog their midweek opponents and pick up their third three points on the spin.

But how can they go about beating the Whites?

Here are two ways they can hurt them...

Frustration

They may have conceded three in their last two matches, but Brentford still boast the best defensive record in the second-tier.

Just 24 goals have gone into their net in 31 matches, five fewer than Leeds, and it could prove a real irritance for Bielsa and his side tonight.

Patrick Bamford has not exactly been in dazzling form of late in front of goal and is prone to being wasteful. If he is picked, Leeds may well be reliant on him bringing his shooting boots to get anything from the match.

He will be limited to very few chances by the Bees and expect the travelling fans to be on his back if he fails to find the net - something that the homeside can capitalise on.

QUIZ: How much do you know about Brentford’s January signings?

On the counter

Nobody in the second tier likes having the ball quite as much as Leeds United. It is a big part of what has made them so successful under Marcelo Bielsa so far.

However, this is an approach that may well suit Brentford particularly well tonight.

In Josh Dasilva in midfield they have a player who is excellent at turning defence into attack, tearing up the pitch before inevitably picking the right pass.

And when the ball gets to the Brentford front three, it is enough to scare anybody. Benrahma, Watkins and Mbeumo can tear any side apart and they will relish the chance to run at the Leeds back line tonight.
