Watford have made a strong start to life back in the Championship.

The Hornets haven't seemed to really hit top gear yet but are second in the table as they look to bounce back up to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

As the January transfer window approaches, however, there will likely be a few players hoping for a move away from Vicarage Road.

With that mind, we've outlined two players that may be eyeing a departure when the market reopens at the start of 2021...

Ismaïla Sarr

The winger was the subject of interest from Premier League clubs in the summer window, with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool both reportedly keen on signing him, but he remains at Watford.

Sarr has made an impressive start to life in the Championship, scoring three times and adding two assists, and if that continues he may have one eye on securing a move back to the top flight when the winter transfer window opens.

Having proven his quality in the Premier League last term, there will surely be interest in the 22-year-old, as there was in the previous window, and Watford may have a decision on their hands.

You feel Sarr's perspective may be dictated by where the Hornets are in the Championship table. If they're on course to secure promotion, he may be happy to stay but if they're slipped back then he may look to leave.

Did these 17 Watford players ever actually score a league goal for the club?

Kane Crichlow

The 20-year-old striker looks a promising young player but opportunities have been scarce this term and things don't look likely to get much better moving forward.

Crichlow has featured just once all term and with the likes of Troy Deeney and Andre Gray returning from injury, he looks likely to slip further down the pecking order.

With that in mind, his only chance of getting senior football this term may be away from Vicarage Road.

The forward may feel come January that a loan or permanent move is his best bet moving forward.
