Swansea have had a really good start to the season under new manager Steve Cooper, and despite a recent blip, won the South Wales derby against Cardiff City.

Supporters have been impressed by the way Cooper has stamped down his mark on the side and will be hoping for more of the same in the future as they look to mount a charge on the play-offs.

They've had some excellent results including victories over Leeds United and high-flying Charlton Athletic.

The Swans have had some star performers including Borja Baston and Andre Ayew, but here are TWO unsung heroes at the club this season...

George Byers

The youngster has been impressive in the Swansea City midfield so far this season, and has really given himself a chance of staying in the team for the majority of the campaign.

Many Swans fans will be surprised how easily he's fitted into the side. At just 23-years-old he has such a long career ahead of him, and that will fill him with confidence for the rest of the season as he continues to relish every challenge that he's faced with.

He came of age on Sunday in the derby day victory over Cardiff and produced a really mature performance that will have Swans fans delighted with the midfielder.

Freddie Woodman

The goalkeeper hasn't been spoken about much as one of the Swans' most influential players, but he's kept some quite brilliant clean sheets against sides such as Leeds and Cardiff and he's becoming a fan favourite.

His celebrations after the victory on Sunday would have endeared himself even more to the supporters and they'll be hoping that his loan move becomes permanent.

He's still just 22-years-old, and being on loan from Newcastle this is a great experience for the keeper who will look to make it in the top division in the future. He is already competent at this level, and deserves more credit for the performances he's been putting in this season.
