2 transfer scenarios that Norwich City will not want to see play out this summer

Published

on

Having already secured promotion, Norwich City will be keen to win the title but attention will already have turned to next season.

The Canaries will have learned a lot from the previous campaign when they were relegated from the Premier League without putting up much of a fight and there will be a determination to do better this time around.

Key to that will be recruitment, and fans will back the hierarchy to get things right in the transfer market, as they have done regularly in the past.

However, whilst there will be an excitement about who comes through the door, promotion won’t prevent other clubs trying to sign influential players from Carrow Road. And, here we look at TWO transfer scenarios that Norwich won’t want to see happen…

Did Norwich City ever loan out these 16 players?

Chris Martin

Selling Max Aarons

Unfortunately for the Yellows, this seems inevitable, with reports claiming Aarons has an agreement that would allow him to leave after he showed loyalty by staying 12 months ago.

Nevertheless, that won’t make it any easier for the Norwich fans, even if they will appreciate all the right-back has gone.

It will be hard for Daniel Farke to find a replacement that has similar quality to the England youth international, and it will be sad for the support to see the defender to go but they will wish him well.

Selling Emi Buendia

It’s a similar story with Buendia.

The attacking midfielder has been a joy to watch in the Championship this season, and, to be frank, he is far too good for this level.

But, even though Norwich will be able to offer the playmaker Premier League football next season, he may have sights on playing in Europe. There’s sure to be plenty of interest in Buendia and Norwich would be gutted to lose him, but money talks and big offers could arrive.
