One of the most interesting early summer appointments in the Championship has been at Norwich City following the arrival of Borussia Dortmund coach Daniel Farke.

Whilst some are lazily citing this as simply a replication of the work that Stuart Webber did at Huddersfield, there is an even bigger buzz of anticipation about Daniel Farke who was prised away from the German giants Borussia Dortmund.

With a distinct footballing philosophy and the help of Stuart Webber and Norwich City to make the wholesale changes needed, this summer window will be a huge one for the Canaries.

The turnover in players won't only see a reduction in the wage bill which will see some players leave but also some new arrivals that are more inclined to fit Daniel Farke's vision for Norwich City.

FLW writer Elliott Wheat-Bowen looks at two Norwich City players that should be axed and two players that should be signed in the coming weeks.

Cameron Jerome

Considering that Cameron Jerome finished as Norwich City's top goalscorer last season, it would be a surprise to see the former Birmingham City striker axed.

However, Daniel Farke may feel that wholesale changes need to be made from the squad that gained promotion to the Premier League and were subsequently relegated.

Although the 30-year-old striker is still an excellent option at the Championship level, Jerome may be unable to adapt to the change in style which Daniel Farke is going to attempt to implement.

As one of the highest paid members of Norwich City's squad, the 30-year-old is likely to be axed in the summer, in order to reduce the wage bill and also bring in a striker more suited to a high-intensity playing style.

Jonny Howson

Despite playing a major role in Norwich City's promotion to the Premier League, the future of the 29-year-old midfielder is unclear with some reports suggesting that Jonny Howson wants to leave the club.

As an attractive option for both Premier League and Championship sides, a number of clubs will be ready to move if the former Leeds United midfielder does become available.

It has yet to be seen if Daniel Farke has short term or long term plans that include Jonny Howson. However, as part of the much-needed overhaul, Howson may be a victim of the regime change and one of the players axed in the coming weeks.

Danny Williams

Despite the disappointment of losing the playoff final in the cruellest of fashions, one player who stood out was Reading's midfield maestro Danny Williams.

The 28-year-old midfielder who previously plied his trade in the Bundesliga has been at the heart of Reading's success since making the move to England.

However, with Danny Williams' contract set to expire in the summer and there being no sign that he will renew his contract, it appears that Williams is set to leave for free.

As well as being an attractive option from a frugal perspective, Daniel Farke may see Danny Williams as the powerhouse he needs in midfield in order to replicate Borussia Dortmund's fast-paced high-intensity playing style at Norwich City.

Tammy Abraham

One of the standout performers in the Championship last season was Tammy Abraham. The Chelsea loanee instantly made a name for himself after scoring twenty-three times for a struggling Bristol City side.

Considering that only Leeds United's Chris Wood scored more than Tammy Abraham last season, the 19-year-old striker is on the radar of the vast majority of Championship and Premier League sides with Newcastle United leading the pack.

As well as being a natural goalscorer, Tammy Abraham has proved that he has a well-rounded game which includes pace to stretch defences and the work ethic to lead the line.

With Chelsea likely to loan Tammy Abraham out again, the 19-year-old striker could thrive in Daniel Farke's system and potentially provide the firepower needed to enable Norwich to challenge for automatic promotion.
