Millwall shared the spoils with Cardiff City last night at the Den, drawing 2-2 with the Welsh side.

In what was Adam Barrett's last match as caretaker boss, the Lions came back from behind twice in an entertaining encounter in South East London.

Cardiff took the lead in the 12th minute, courtesy of a header from Danny Ward, which was his 4th league goal of the season.

Millwall's in form striker Tom Bradshaw hit back with a deflected effort that Neil Etheridge couldn't keep out.

Junior Hoilett restored Cardiff's advantage in the 57th minute, but Bradshaw once again came to the rescue with a superb effort in the 77th minute, to keep Cardiff waiting for a first away win of the season.

New manager Gary Rowett officially will take his first training session with Millwall today, and will be in the dugout for Saturday's clash against Stoke, which is a crucial game for both sides.

Rowett would've been in the stands at The Den, to analyse his new side. It would've been normal for him to see things that he was pleased with, as well as characteristics that the can look to improve.

Here are three things that we learnt about Millwall last night:

Tom Bradshaw has to start

The Welsh striker has already produced two man-of-the-match performances so far this season in a Millwall shirt.

His two goals last night takes his league goal tally to six, which means that new boss Gary Rowett has to make Bradshaw his first-choice striker if he opts to play with one up-front.

Last night, Barrett decided to play a 4-4-2, with Matt Smith partnering Bradshaw. Smith has also been in good form with three goals and two assists, and will provide the Welshman with healthy competition.

Millwall have to improve defensively

The Lions have conceded five goals in their last two games, which suggests that they are lacking defensive structure at present.

The South London outfit are usually strong when defending set-pieces and balls into the box, so naturally Gary Rowett will be disappointed at the first goal they conceded yesterday.

He will be aiming to work on how to get the side to defend through balls, as Junior Hoilett was given too much time on the ball for Cardiff's second goal.
