Nottingham Forest will be looking to make it back-to-back wins this weekend when they travel to face Hull City in the EFL Championship.

Mark Warburton’s men were 2-0 winners over Burton Albion at the City Ground last weekend and the Forest boss will now be looking to put together something that resembles a consistent run, in order to consolidate a place in the top half of the division.

A trip to the KC Stadium won’t be an easy place to go and get a result but the Reds will go there full of confidence after the Burton win, eager to improve on recent away day performances which haven’t gone according to plan.

Forest have won twice on the road already this season in the league at Brentford and Sunderland and if the Reds are serious about a successful season then they must start accumulating points away from the City Ground.

With an intriguing looking second tier fixture in store this weekend, Football League World writer Lee Clarke looks at two things Nottingham Forest must do if they are to get anything from their trip to East Yorkshire.

Tighten up at the back

The Reds kept a vitally important clean sheet on Saturday during the win against Burton Albion but shutouts on the road have proved harder to come by.

Conceding soft goals has been a massive problem for Forest this season and Warburton will naturally hope that his defence are on their mettle this weekend.

The Reds have lost four games on their travels already this season and a strong back line will be needed if they are to ensure an improvement at the KC Stadium.

Provide service to Daryl Murphy

Although Forest were 2-0 winners last weekend their talismanic striker Daryl Murphy was somewhat isolated at times during the game.

The summer signing from Newcastle United has found the net on six occasions for the Reds this season and he is fast becoming a favourite with the Forest faithful.

If the Reds can start to provide the 34-year-old with even more service then there is little doubting his ability to fire the goals that will propel Forest into the higher echelons of the division.
