Luton Town suffered yet another defeat on the weekend, meaning Graeme Jones' side remain bottom of the Championship table.

It's another disappointing result for the Hatters and it means that Luton are now nine points off of Championship safety with just 15 games left to play.

Cardiff City picked up a 1-0 victory at Kenilworth Road, with Lee Tomlin scoring with less than 20 minutes to go.

Belief

The belief at the club seems to be fading. It was another poor performance in a game that it seemed the Bluebirds never quite felt like they were going to lose. The Hatters appeared to lose all hope when Cardiff netted their winner in the second half.

They lacked ideas, and with that, players such as Izzy Brown were closed out of the game with ease which meant that the rest of the Luton side seemed to get more frustrated as the fixture went on.

Jones and his side now need to find that inner belief ahead of their game with Sheffield Wednesday in midweek otherwise they may suffer another defeat and some members of the squad could start to give up on the hope of survival.

Their attacking attitude and approach

This has been the difference in so many of Luton's fixtures this season. They have a low budget having just come up from League One and with that, don't seem to have the necessary quality to stay up in the Championship.

Instead of trying to play attacking though, Jones may well have to set the side up to try and earn a point against the better sides by defending with all 11 players behind the ball. This would see themselves have a better chance of earning vital points and it would make them tougher for teams to break down.

If you don't have the required attacking quality then you have to make sure that first and foremost you do a job defensively. Luton have to do this in their final 15 games to give themselves a chance of staying in the division.
