The first Sheffield derby of the season ended in a stalemate at Bramall Lane as Jos Luhukay’s men frustrated the home side.
Chris Wilder’s men were dominant as ever in possession, but failed to break down a resilient Owls side who had clearly set their stall out come and simply not get beat.
A first half penalty from Davd McGoldrick was saved by Owls ‘keeper Cameron Dawson, and that proved to the be the decisive moment in the game as the Blades failed to create any sort of clear cut chances in the rest of the 90 minutes, despite being so ball dominant.
Manager Chris Wilder will no doubt feel he did all he could to aid his team in their quest for victory, but there is always something that fans and pundits think could have been done differently to make a difference in any game of football.
